"As separate individuals, we live in separate cultures haunted by the vague memory of an intimacy that we all share. Let us, all together, chase the very horizon of existence, the edge of understanding, the point at which new sensations, emotions, thoughts and ideas begin to emerge… and let us bring this intimacy alive." ~Alex Mero
Spiritual transformation is the process that occurs when we surpass beyond our bodies and minds, when we completely come to terms with our past traumas and our worries of the future. After spiritual transformation, our actions prove to be more virtuous and increasingly less as the product of fear, pride or selfishness.
Violence in the world is the result of the tendency we have to form groups, whether they’re national, religious, racial or otherwise. These groups are founded on imaginary differences, designed to allow more restraint groups to appropriate themselves of power. Defending these differences is the main cause of violence, since each group defines itself according to its accentuated differences.
Triggers for a need of profound personal change, is generally linked to a series of events that provoke a crisis that greatly disrupts our lives. It could be a sudden grave illness, a break-up in a relationship, the loss of a loved one, the uprooting of a profession, or very simply, a meeting with a person of great wisdom. Often these changes appear following states of great worry and suffering. It’s through these painful ordeals that doubts arise, and questions are raised. Therefore, it’s the impact these events have, that helps us become aware of the necessary changes needed to give a new and greater meaning to our lives.
“I see that many of you are sincere in your desire to fight injustice. In this respect, I’d like to tell you something important.”
Everyone was all ears.
“My friends, remember that when it comes to improving life on earth, there is something much more powerful and much more efficient than the will.”
Everybody was intensely curious now to know what important statement Nathan was going to pronounce!
“It has to do with understanding the world around us! Every action we undertake is dependent on that. If this understanding is rooted in the source of our thoughts and feelings, it will guide us well.”
Again Nathan paused a moment to let the meaning of his words be understood. Finally, a man in a suit asked him: “How do we know what’s at the source of our thoughts and feelings?”
“By reflecting on what our real motivation is,” Nathan answered, “For that, we need to ask ourselves this question: what is the ultimate goal that I’m trying to attain?”
Nathan paused for a moment and then continued with fervor: “I know that you’re questioning and wondering about the best strategy to employ in organizing events, but is every one of you deeply convinced of the real reason for these events?”
He paused again. The public was completely still, mesmerized by every word.
“Ask yourselves ‘what do I think is an ideal world’, and ‘how can I contribute to it’. These are the questions that if you spend enough time on them, will give you a deep understanding of things.”
Nathan stood up, and ended his speech with strong and poignant sentences, interspersed with long pauses, which had the effect similar to that of collective hypnosis on the listeners:
“Those who are truly looking for the good will recognize each other! They will feel a powerful connection between each other and will then be able to use their full potential! Their actions will serve as examples for others, and little by little, this will lead to a transformation of the world, until it finally becomes a welcoming and inspiring place for all!”
Truly, to change anything on the external, requires a change on the internal. Perhaps not a change, but an awareness of who we are and what matters above all, Love.
Being aware, brings peace and harmony, and that influences the outside. Our thoughts, our actions, our words become ones of Love and Peace, and that has the effect of inspiring others.
Where is humanity headed, and how will we get there?
There exists a universal order behind the creation of all visible or physical forms. Additionally, what is not yet manifested in a physical form already exists, seemingly, in another dimension; although in reality, this dimension is never really separate from the physical one we know. What is visible, in whatever form, and what is not, is always connected. The question we can ask ourselves then is: within humanity, how does what is not yet visible, become apparent, or make itself known? My answer to that is: humanity’s future is revealed and clarified with man’s increasing awareness of his real destiny.
“I saw that you were reflecting earlier on the effects of indoctrination when it is practiced on a grand scale.”
“I fear that when we are deprived of freedom of thought, it will be impossible to maintain a critical mind.” Nathan answered.
“And, according to you, what are the consequences?” Songo asked.
Nathan recognized his father’s style of questioning in the way Songo was posing the questions. This approach had permitted him to greatly develop his thinking and discover great truths. It also told him that what Songo wanted him to understand was of great importance. He took his time to reflect on his answer.
“The consequences are that people will no longer be able to think for themselves as to what is good for them. They will behave and live in the way that is expected of them by others, and they will justify this attitude by studied arguments.”
“Nathan,” Songo said in a grave tone, “What you are affirming is the basis for the lack of harmony on earth!”
There was a moment of silence, than Songo said softly:
“What feeling does that bring out in you, Nathan?”
“A feeling of injustice towards the victims of these charlatans, and the victims they will in turn make.”
“Nothing else?” Songo asked.
“What I always feel in cases of injustice; the desire to put an end to it!” Nathan stated firmly.
Songo put his hand on Nathan’s arm and spoke again in a grave tone, cue that he was about to say something very personal.
“When you go against the main current of acceptable opinions, you must always arm yourself with courage. Courage consists of resistance, hope and unlimited faith in the success of your undertakings.”
Example, if you listen to political speeches, how some individuals articulate their words, emphasizing some, using pauses at particular moments…using different pitches for certain words… what do you think they are doing? Just thoughts to ponder…. It most certainly takes courage to stand up for the truth, because most don’t see it–truth– and will try to ridicule you or your ideas. But courage is an amazing thing; once you give in to it, a tremendous strength develops, and with courage and strength for what’s right, Love and Truth always prevail… Grace
“Is it the first time that you have travelled so far?” Adnan asked him.
“I’ve been to Asia, but it was different it seems…” Nathan answered, still taking in all the sights.
What astounded Nathan the most was that just a few kilometres from the European coast, a completely different world existed.
“At this moment, it’s the differences that you are noticing,” Adnan told him, “But later, it will be the similarities.”
Nathan recognized immediately the typical tone of wisdom, the same as his father’s, Simon’s, and Pablo’s. ‘Was Adnan going to be just as important to him as the others?’ he asked himself. Adnan continued: “In origin, we are all similar. Then we take on habits according to the environment we grow up in. It is these that create the differences that we perceive between one another.”
No need to add anything more; the last sentences say it all.
